Photo Friday #13.....

As I browse through the thousands of photos taken since I received my new camera, I find there is something missing......something very important......something I will one day regret if I do not address it now.  It's ME!!  I have been soooo OBSESSED with learning all the functions on my camera, making sure everything is exactly how I envision it....the lighting, the composition, the settings, that I have yet to actually be in any of the pictures!

I don't want to always be the face behind the camera capturing all of the memories, I want to be part of those memories.  So with that being said, on Easter weekend, I handed my camera over to my sweet mother and let her snap away!!

All photos were taken with my Nikon D7000, in Auto, by my mother!  And because my 30 day free trial of LR has expired....until my new Lightroom 4 software arrives next week, I have edited all of the below photos in Picmonkey!  Every heard of it?  It is a free editing site that took over picnik.  It's super easy and has a ton of filters to play with......

Me and my girl.......

Dusk filter......

LOVE this shot!!!  Good job mom!!

Black and White filter.......

Eggs, eggs, and more eggs.....

Urban filter......

Girl on a mission.....

Cross Princess filter.....

Me, Jules, and my sweet Brother!

Sepia/Intrepid filter......

Tip for the week:
Get into some of those photos!!

  1. I couldn't agree more! I have so many pics of things, my pup, other people....but if you looked at my photos it's like I don't exist in my own life :o)Thanks for the encouragment to get in front of the camera. You should link up at http://andersonfamilycrew.blogspot.ca/, it's called Embrace the Camera & it motivates us to get in front of the lens!

  3. Yep, great tip, I sure will regret it one day. I surely have never been the type of person who enjoyed seeing myself in pictures.
